Suspicion of ISA Case in Norway

Article Content

NORWAY - There is a suspected detection of the viral disease infectious salmon anemia (ISA) on a fish farm in Bremsnesfjord Nordmre.

The suspicion is based on the detection of ISA in a routine sample taken from the farm. The fish in the area are ready for harvesting.

There doesn't appear to be increased mortality on the farm, which suggests that there is no disease outbreak.

If diagnosis is confirmed after further tests, restriction zones will implemented as the farm is located in a relatively densely farmed area of Bremsnesfjord.
